Associated Forklift's Story
Associated Forklift, Inc. (AFI) was established in early 2003 by James “Jim” L. Carr, a proud veteran, and his wife, Christine, following their relocation to Shippensburg, PA, from New Jersey. With over 30 years of experience successfully operating Tri County Forklifts in New Jersey, Jim brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Associated Forklift and the Susquehanna area.
Guided by the lessons learned from his years in New Jersey, Jim established AFI’s core mission: SPEED TO THE JOB. This commitment to rapid service has remained a cornerstone of the AFI brand. In mid-2018, AFI relocated to Carlisle, PA, to better serve the majority of its clientele and further enhance its ability to deliver expedited services, building on its already industry-leading same-day response times. Today, Associated Forklift is headquartered at 670 Longs Gap Road in Carlisle, PA, and operates from a single location. With over 50 years of experience in the forklift industry, Jim Carr continues to lead AFI with a dedication to helping customers get back up and running as quickly as possible. At AFI, we share Jim’s passion for exceptional service and are committed to delivering the speed and reliability our customers depend on.
Jim proudly served his country, and has hired & worked with veterans throughout his life and career. He takes pleasure in working with fellow veterans at every opportunity he gets!
